5 Time-Management Blogs You Should Be Following
Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.”
— H. Jackson Brown Jr.
…fair enough, Mr. Brown. And so, to help get you to Einstein-esque levels of productivity, here are 5 time-management blogs you should be following.
1. The Time-Management Ninja
Clean design, casual writing style, and let’s be honest, an excellent name. This time-management blog is filled with all the goodies you expect, like tips, tricks, guides, and provocative questions and topics, laid out in a super digestible format that’s easy on the eyes and simple to navigate. Bonus: blogger Craig Jarrow also has a decent amount of street cred, having written and published a book in addition to bringing his skills to different organizations through motivational speaking and coaching. You also get fun extras, like featured apps, newsletters, and even a little schwag. Click here to peruse.
2. Freakishly Productive
This blog lives up to its name even through the design, which is arguably one of the most organized layouts you’ll find floating around the internet. The overall subject matter, which is laser-focused on productivity, motivation and time-management, is divided into several categories, including lists, tips, notes, quotes, habits, how-tos, and more, each of which are filled to the brim with excellent content that’s presented in a sleek, Pinterest-like ‘map’ that’s both aesthetically and fundamentally valuable. Blogger Annie Mueller may fess up to a messy closet, but she’s done a superb job of perfecting things here.
3. Pajama Productivity
Pajama Productivity = super happy fun times + business savvy with a generous dash of snark. The irreverent voice of blogger Annie Sisk is two steps past casual (profanity naysayers beware) and, despite the already widely-covered topics, gives the whole idea of mastering time-management, expanding your business, and ‘conquering the world in your pajamas’ a sharp, intelligent twist. Thankfully, her theories and tips are actually applicable to all modern workers, from telecommuters to cube-dwellers — although Ms. Sisk is staunchly anti-cube. Check it out here.
4. Pick the Brain
This is more a hub of time-management info than a typical blog, but it’s absolutely worth exploring. Centered around individual productivity, Pick the Brain offers up gems like how to procrastinate productively, the dangers of being labeled ‘gifted’, and advice for non-materialistic folks on why getting rich is awesome. Plus, they have a community blog flush with philosophical anecdotes for personal growth. Get reading.
5. Productivityist
The fact that blogger Mike Vardy used to being the managing editor of Lifehack kind of sets the precedent, as well it should — Productivityist cleanly ties together his many talents as a writer, speaker, and podcaster and presents them under the umbrella of an exceptionally smart time-management philosophy. In fact, it’s more of a lifestyle or a movement than anything else, complete with a workbook. The uber-slick design isn’t hurting anything, either, nor is this truly excellent piece about wearing too many hats.
